The DA-Notice Secretary

Andrew Vallance took over as Secretary of the Defence, Press and Broadcasting Advisory Committee in December 2004.

Prior to that he spent 38 years in the Royal Air Force, serving operationally as a squadron pilot, flight commander and squadron commander, and subsequently as the last flying station commander of RAF Wyton. He spent 6 years in Whitehall and a further 10 years in NATO, ending his RAF career in the Command Group of the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE). He has published over 60 articles and 3 books on defence and international security issues.
